I came to Covenant Church in my mother’s womb. At 7 years old, I accepted God’s overwhelming gift of salvation. At 12 years old, I made the public declaration through baptism. In high school friends questioned my faith and through college systems ridiculed my faith, only to further drive me to study and strengthen my confidence in the Word and its Truth. Through every season of life Jesus’ faithfulness has amazed me and sustained me. In young adulthood, it was here at Covenant that I learned how to worship and how to handle money God’s ways. Into marriage, it was through Covenant that I was mentored by a grandmother and widow on how to be a wise wife and strong home keeper. Into motherhood, it was through Covenant that I was surrounded by seasoned parents with support and ways to train a child in the way he should go. The friendships and mentorships through Covenant Church are foundational in my sanctification. It is through Covenant Church that I am learning to lead and disciple fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Covenant church is a place of generational, racial, and cultural unity in Christ. To me Covenant church is more than a building, Covenant Church is a living gift from a loving Father to His beloved daughter.
