Harold L. Bare, Sr., Ph.D.
Senior Pastor
pastor@covenantchurch.netDr. Harold L. Bare, Sr. is a former social worker/counselor and college lecturer. While serving Covenant Church since 1981, he has authored several books, including "They Call Me Pentecostal," "Hell is War," and numerous articles. Pastor Bare completed his Ph.D. at the University of Virginia. He is married to Dr. Laila Bare. Concurrently Laila earned her Ed.D. from Virginia Tech and is a sought after public speaker. They have three children, Danny, Dana, and Joshua, and 6 grandchildren.
Krista Darcus
Care & Family Ministries Pastor
k.darcus@covenantchurch.netKrista Berryman Darcus, a native of Richmond, VA, has served Covenant since February of 1998 in various positions and currently serves as Care & Family Ministries Pastor. Her responsibilities include overseeing small groups, and benevolence ministries, ladies', men's, singles', and couples' ministries. She also sings with the gospel ensemble Breath of Life. Krista began her undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee but graduated from the University of Virginia. Married to Gary, a missionary with Advancing Native Missions in Crozet, VA, they have three children, Happy, Joanna, and Stephen.
Bill Woodruff
Student Life Pastor
b.woodruff@covenantchurch.netBill, his wife Amanda, and daughters Alyssa and Addison have been with Covenant Church since October of 2004. Bill was raised in Mishawaka, IN and graduated from Lee University in 1999. He has served as a Youth and Worship pastor in Kentucky and Indiana. He describes his ministry to students as “Christ Centered and relationship based.”

Children's Life Pastor

As a mother of four, she knows first hand the powerful effect children can have on the world around them. As a native of Charlottesville, Autumn has attended Covenant for well over a decade and has served in the role of Children's Life Minister since August of 2002.
Tim Sersen
Fine Arts Pastor
t.sersen@covenantchurch.netTim joined our staff in January 2007 after 19 years of ministry throughout Maryland and Delaware. He has served the Church of God as Youth Pastor, Associate & Music Pastor, as well as Senior Pastor. As an Ordained Bishop, he has served on several State Boards in Delmarva. Tim is married to Tammy and they have two kids, Amber and Austin. His desire is to passionately pursue the Presence of God through worship.
Chase Holsomback
Assistant Student Life Pastor
c.holsomback@covenantchurch.netChase recently joined our staff in January of 2008. He was raised in the small town of Sugar Valley, Georgia. He is married to Sarah, a Virginia native, who serves the children of the Charlottesville City School System as a teacher of English as a Second Language. Before joining the team, Chase graduated from Lee University in 2005 with a degree in Pastoral Ministries and also served in North Georgia as Children’s Minister from 2006-2008. He is currently ministering with the Consumed Student Ministry and desires to see the students of today develop into the leaders of tomorrow.
Bettie Christian
Covenant Care Ministries Pastor
b.christian@covenantchurch.netBettie was born and raised in the area of Staunton, Virginia. For a couple of years she lived in Harrisonburg, moving to Charlottesville at the end of '98. She began attending Covenant at that time, and became a member in April of 1999. Bettie's first position here was that of a deacon; from there she moved to the Board of Elders and remained there until her recent appointment as pastor of Covenant Care Ministries. Her heart is prayer, and out of this flows a passion to see God's people be strong and mighty warriors in His kingdom.

Jessica Dizon
Executive Assistant/Bookkeeper
j.dizon@covenantchurch.netJessica came to Covenant in September of 2004 and she is married to Froilan. She holds a degree in accounting from Lyceum Northwestern University, Dagupan City, Philippines. She manages the day to day financial aspects of Covenant Church as well as the administrative functions of the Senior Pastor. She is also responsible for other administrative and financial functions like maintaining church accounts, updating the accounting system and preparing various church reports. Jessica is always ready to greet you with a sunny smile and a helping hand.
Fay Paurillo
Office Administrator
f.paurillo@covenantchurch.netFay is married to long-time Covenant member Allan Conrad Paurillo, and they have one daughter, Jasmine Fay. Fay was a Certified Public Accountant by profession in the Philippines, graduated from Xavier University with a degree in accounting in 1997, and graduated with a Masters in Business Administration in 2001. She has been involved with the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the Philippines, ministering to college groups. Fay assists with the Children and Student Life departments as well as with general administrative functions.
Patty Perkins
Business Administrator
p.perkins@covenantchurch.netPatty is from Charlottesville, and has been a member of Covenant since 2005. She is married to Jim and together they have six children. Patty loves to assist in the Children's Ministry activities and teaches in the 3's and 4's classrooms. Patty will assist in overseeing the business, financial, and property development matters of the church. She comes to us with a wealth of business and financial knowledge as well as a heart to diligently serve the Lord.
Michael Kneller
Facilities Manager
m.kneller@covenantchurch.netMichael (Mike) Kneller joined the Covenant staff in 2007 as Facilities Manager. He and his wife Becky, whom he met at Covenant Church, have a leadership role in drama, participate in a small group Bible study, and are faithful workers in Children's Church. He is multi-talented in construction issues and currently taking classes towards an electrical license. His cheerful attitude and helpful hands are a great asset to Covenant's ministries.
