God of the Hills
I really do believe with all my heart that these are the most powerful times of all of history.
I remember once getting on a plane in Winston Salem. The pilot said: "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are late. I have 45 minutes to make up between here and Washington, D.C. We are going to do a max take-off [and he did]], and we will be doing a brief stop in Charlottesville." You could feel that baby being torqued. The pilot came back on: "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are 17 miles out at (elevation), and we are going in for a max landing...keep those safety belts tight."
The person next to be whispered "Crazy fool."
I said, "Excuse me?"
My fellow passenger said: "I am a pilot. I cannot believe he is doing this."
But he did. He took that plane down like a bullet and straight into the airport---tires tearing at the pavement.
"Please exit as quickly as you can. Your cooperation will put me into D.C. on time for the connecting flight." Minutes later the plane banked, and there was a max take-off.
I feel like I am coming in for a MAX landing.
The economy is stressing the Richter Scale.
Politics is ugly.
Liberals are turning all their dogs loose on Christians.
War and talk of war have reached cataclysmic proportions.
Morality is sinking.
Gold is over $1,900 per ounce!
"Fasten your seat belts!" However, the question is whether we are coming in for a potential crash landing, or are we fastening our seat belts for a max take-off? I argue the latter.
My perspective of prophecy is that God will not be trounced, pushed to the corner, maligned, and ridiculed into surrender or compromise. I rather think that God is coming to the front. He is awakening His Church. He is raising up an army of disciples to press the battle into the camp of the enemy. God is looking for warriors who will not be belittled, reduced, and who do not know how to flinch in the face of fiery darts of hell. God is looking for Special Opts soldiers who are trained to offensively take the battle into the badlands and rescue precious souls held captive by the devil.
I do not believe Jesus is coming back for an anemic and worn-out Church. I believe the Church will rise to be powerful in these times. We will sanctify ourselves. We will purge out the dross. We will correct the course. And we will recognize that we can only do the work of God if and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I believe God is raising up a new generation of believers to be generous in reaping the harvest.
So, I say: "Buckle up! We are going to do a max take-off!"
