Dear Friends:

This is an open letter appealing to your heart. It is an urgent letter in context of the times in which we live.

Ours is a world not imagined even ten years ago. Who would have imagined that our air space could be invaded with multiple planes to bring down skyscrapers and even invade Pentagon space? Who would have imagined that one man with a bomb in his shoes could have millions of people every day walking barefoot in airports? Who would have imagined that America could be $14,000,000,000,000+ in debt---endangering the very future of America?

Who would have imagined that America, home of the brave and free, home of every man being equal, would be the home of more than 40,000,000 babies being aborted...and fetuses being used for scientific experiments? Who would have imagined that churches would be taking down crosses to be politically correct?

Do we see the handwriting on the wall? Do we see the urgency of the times? Do we see prophecies being fulfilled? Does it matter than North Korea has nuclear weapons, Iran is on the verge of having them, and Syria is attempting to develop/obtain nuclear weapons? Does it matter that computer hackers are penetrating top security data banks?

Matthew 24:21 talks about the necessity of God "shortening" time, false prophets, false christs, "insomuch that, if it were possible, they deceive the very elect." Frightful. While timelines are important, the message is clear that humanity is increasing the possibility of self-destruction---which God will not allow!

Into this bizarre and distressing mix there is rampant and wanton homespun theology that folks are trying to walk the faith path in fashion of Eastern mysticism. Searching self, worshiping privately, denying any need of gathering with other believers, and crafting a religious path that fits desired lifestyle with comfortable pleasures.

My Dear Friend, it cannot be. The Church was bought and purchased by Jesus with his own blood. The brotherhood of the Church is divine and unified at the Cross. Those who resist unity and the coming together of the Body of Christ reject and deny the very mission of Christ as Savior.

Did you know that more than 80% of people who come to church do so because a friend invites them? Your power to change lives is awesome. Around you are precious souls who have not been taught the beautiful message of salvation. Your kind and gentle words inviting them to join with you in fellowship and worship will open a door of hope to eternity.

Do not be dismayed by the distress of our world. God is on His throne. You have been called into the Kingdom of God for the glory of God. You are a chosen vessel designed for special service.

Make a list of precious friends, family and acquaintances. Invite them to join with you in worship. Spend time in prayer that the Lord will open their heart in faith to see Christ and receive the joy of salvation. This is your highest and best investment.

I do not know when Jesus will come. But I do know that by the Word of God "He that winneth souls is wise" [Proverbs 11:30b]. Be wise unto salvation.
