Getting the Pastor's Heart
Dr. Harold L. Bare, Sr. has served Covenant Church as Pastor since 1981, and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Virginia. He has authored several books, including “They Call Me Pentecostal,” “Hell is War,” and numerous articles.
Drawing on his experience as a social worker/counselor, college lecturer, pastor, and North Carolina native, he writes the weekly Pastor's Heart. It's full of stories, insights, and challenging thoughts that will encourage you to live the Christ-life. Included in the print and PDF versions are announcements that keep you connected to the life and events of Covenant Church.
You can read the Pastor's Heart in four ways:
- Read it on the web. A new article is posted weekly to our web page. Archives of previous articles, and a PDF version containing announcements are also available there.
- Subscribe to the feed. We syndicate the articles in a feed that you can subscribe to using a web browser or a news reader. Read more about our feeds.
- Get it by email. Fill out an online form with your email address and we will email you a link to the article whenever a new one is posted.
- Get it by mail. If you cannot read the Pastor's Heart online or would prefer to receive a hard copy, we can mail the article and announcements to you. Fill out the form below with your mailing address and indicate that you'd like us to mail it to you.
