Breath of Life Gospel Ensemble
Breath of Life Gospel Ensemble of Covenant Church was formed in August 2001. We comprise seven individuals committed to seeing lives changed and people encouraged by the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. Our outreach embraces people of all races, ethnic groups, cultures, religions, and nationalities. Our music style typically consists of Black Gospel Music from artists such as Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, John P. Kee, Anointed, Shirley Caesar, and Marvin Sapp.

Breath of Life's members are pictured above: (front left) Michelle Minor, E. Howard Booker, Cynthia Murray, (back left) Sandra Carter, Cynthia Hash, Krista Darcus, and Dolores Johnson.
We have been featured guests at concerts in and around the Charlottesville community. Breath of Life has also been on two mission trips in the recent past. In April 2003, we traveled to Prague in the Czech Republic, ministering in various venues in conjunction with Project Antioch, a non-profit organization committed to mobilizing and assisting people to achieve the full realization of their social, educational and professional potential. In June 2005, we went to Greece by invitation of Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel (AMG) Eastern Europe and ministered at Helping Hands (a feeding program and outreach for refugees in Athens), the University of Thessaloniki, two evangelical churches, and during a four-day Missions Conference in Leptokaria. You can read about a missions trip to Jamaica we completed in December 2006.
As servants of the Lord, our primary mission is to use our God-given vocal gifts to minister the Word of God through song to the unsaved, and we purpose to minister encouragement to the Body of Christ.
