It’s Time to Grow Up! (Sanctuary)
Facilitator: Jack & Jean Griffin
Having Christ as your personal Savior is only the beginning. After that, you have to grow up! Many problems in our lives are caused by spiritual immaturity. God wants us to group up, not just grow old. And, He has given us the formula for maturity in the Epistle of James (James 1:2-4).
Ten Commandments of Disability Etiquette (Room 101)
Facilitator: Rose Williams
Have you ever wanted to befriend or help someone with a disability but felt unsure what to say or how to help? If so, this fun, informative and interactive class is for you. We will discuss the ten commandments of disability etiquette and study Jesus’ approach to the disabled in His day. As we see our church becoming more diverse, we will be better equipped to minister to the one in five Americans with disabilities. “The greatest accommodation you can offer someone with a disability is friendship.”
Upward Climbers (Room 102)
Facilitator: Thurman Henry
This class follows the standard Church of God Sunday School commentary series. This class is attended primarily by senior adults, but all are welcome.
Beginnings (Room 202)
Facilitator: Cynthia Hash
In Hebrews 5:12-13, Paul chides some Christians for diving into situations that require real spiritual maturity, without first having spent the time getting down the basics of the faith. Partake of some foundational "meat" of our faith by joining this study group. Learn about the deception that's causing people to lose faith and even turn to atheism. This series is perfect for those who seek to strengthen the faith of the believer and counter the skepticism of the lost.
The Demands of Joy (Room 203)
Facilitator: Bettie Christian
Is prevailing joy your present experience? Few of us, if any, would deny we desire a sense of unadulterated joy in our daily lives. Nevertheless, is this God given spiritual fruit a reality in your life today? Without a doubt, our Lord Jesus made it possible for His joy to overflow in all our lives, regardless of our circumstances. I encourage you, bring your Bible and walk with me through portions of John’s gospel and other significant scripture texts…where we’ll discover some powerful truths concerning joy. As you come, expect to be miraculously transformed.
Growing Kid's God's Way (Room 204)
Facilitator: Tom and Cora Bouch
Parents of children from the ages of 15 months through the preteens--this is the class you've been waiting for! It covers a wide range of important parenting topics such as how to really express love to your child, your child's conscience, discipline, principles of obedience, the priority of the husband and wife relationship, and building a healthy family.
