Adult Bible Study Classes

"...teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you." Matthew 28:20

New bible studies are offered every two months. Look over the list of classes by Covenant's own skilled teachers and make plans to attend. This is a great personal growth opportunity!

Relationships

Tammy Sersen, in Classroom 101

People impact our lives every day.  Some relationships are by choice, such as friends or spouse.  Others are given to us, such as family, co-workers, and in-laws.  This study on relationships will focus on many Biblical examples from both the Old and New Testaments.  Four different categories of relationships will be covered: business and ministry relationships, family, friends/spouse, and our relationship with God.  Let’s learn together what God’s Word has to say about the very important people He has placed in our lives.

Upward Climbers

Thurman Henry, in Classroom 102

Truth for Christian Living [I & II John] and Growing Spiritually will be the theme's of this session as we continue our study of the New Testament.  Although attended mainly by our seniors, all adults are welcome to attend.

A Heart for Worship

Pastor Christian, in Classroom 201

From Genesis 22 to Revelation 22, we see the word 'worship' noted in the Scriptures over a hundred times. In this class we will examine some of these times in context, to discover various ways Biblical 'worship' has been expressed. Our main objective is to end our eight weeks together by having a more informed understanding of what God desires of us, as stated in St. John 4:23. Personally, I long to be that kind of worshipper. How about you?

The Master’s Men

Danny Bare, in Classroom 202

During the Nov./Dec. session, we began this class just for men. We enjoyed some great times of sharing about the challenges and rewards of being men and fulfilling our individual callings in the Kingdom work, so the men voted to continue during the January/February session. Men, ask yourselves, why would you NOT be a part of this group? Women, rest assured, it’s about us, not you, so send your men to join us!

EPHESIANS—Written in Prison, to Set Men and Women Free in Christ!

Gary Glover and Friends, in Classroom 203

“It is ALL academic until you DO something.” So, we are going to explore what it means to be SAVED by Christ, and what is our POSITION in Christ, and where is our PLACE in the Body of Christ, and how does this affect our WALK with Christ. We’ll take little bites at a time, chew it slowly, and digest it well. I have developed this study to challenge, stretch, and build your faith in Christ.

The God of All Comfort

Jack and Jean Griffin, in NT Sanctuary

II Corinthians 1:3-7  Times of suffering and trials are a part of everyone’s life.  He IS able to comfort you, no matter what the trial.  The purpose of this Bible study is to encourage us through the Word of God.

The Christian Faith

David MacDonald, in Classroom 204

Have you ever struggled with the foundations of your faith? This class is geared toward helping you understand the basics of the Christian Faith.  The weekly discussions will be based upon our daily reading program that will cover the Bible in one year.  We will begin by discussing the origins of the different translations of the New Testament.  Giving of finances, prayer, and fasting will be covered briefly. You will be provided with a weekly summary that will support our corporate goal to read through the Bible in one year.
